An original southwest landscape painting of the sun and crescent moon over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and a small trail near Tesuque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. 12 x 12 inch masonite panel in a handcrafted wooden frame finished with glossy black enamel and gold metallic wax. With the frame the piece is ~13.5 x ~13.5 inches and ~1.5 inch depth. Interference oil paints lend reflective, almost holographic qualities to this work— it flashes pink and green depending on the viewing angle and light source, as seen in the photos.
